Thank you for your interest in Religious Education classes! While the Religious Education Program seeks to create an atmosphere of prayer, study, and discussion to increase each child’s awareness of God’s presence in the world, you serve as the primary educators for your child/children. Religious education begins in a home environment where family members strive to know, love, and serve God. Weekly participation in Mass provides the fundamental and critical component of this development. Please make every effort to take advantage of the gift Jesus gave us- the gift of Himself in the Eucharist.
Please use the online registration form that includes a credit card payment option. Re-registrations after August 15 require an additional $25 per family. Registering after August 15 creates much more work for our staff and volunteers, including delayed communication with you, so please submit your information no later than August 15.
We expect all students to attend each class. Please acknowledge your agreement on the registration form indicating that you will contact your child’s catechist regarding any absences, obtain missed assignments, and assist your child in completing them. Our Safety Agreement form has also been incorporated on the registration form so please accurately enter that important information.
The envelope system provides the only method of tracking weekly Mass attendance. Your participation in the envelope system and a minimum weekly contribution of $5 per week allows us to offer a lower registration fee and maintain your active status so the church can provide letters of eligibility should you be asked to be a Godparent for a Baptism or Sponsor for Confirmation. Registration fees for active parishioners are $65 per child, not to exceed $130 per family. Confirmation candidates (Grade 8) please include an additional $15 gown rental fee in your check or the online payment option found under the “Confirmation Documents” tab. Inactive families or those from outside the parish must pay an additional fee of $250 (based on a $5 per week contribution).
We will continue providing classes on Sunday mornings from 8:30-10:10 a.m. for grades K-8. Grades 7 & 8 will have an option for classes on Monday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. The parish website will be updated with the schedule once it is approved.
Thank you for entrusting your child to our care as we grow in knowledge and love of God.
