Collection for Venezuala
The recent catastrophic earthquake in Venezuela has caused overwhelming loss of life, human suffering, and infrastructure devastation.
The need is very great for shelter, food, clothing, and other necessities. Charitable organizations are reaching out to relieve the suffering of those searching for family members still lost in the rubble, and for the countless numbers who have lost their homes and all their possessions.
Catholic Relief Services is at the forefront of this effort. At the direction of Bishop Schlert, all parishes in our Diocese will conduct a special collection. Ours will be on the weekend of July 25th and 26th. All proceeds will be forwarded directly to Catholic Relief Services. Please be as generous as you can. Thank you!
